Summary
We were about to make a pork, but had no meat tenderizer (or tenderiser ?). Well, we had an Ikea Fixa hammer, so I made a meat tenderizer head accessory.
it's parametric (customisable / customizable), so you can use Customizer or edit .SCAD file to adjust:
- Hammer head length & diameter
- Material thickness
- Violence level (number & size of spikes)
Included .STL file is for those who have Ikea Fixa hammer (⌀ 26mm, ↨ 15mm) and don't want to mess with customizer.

Try not to use brim (use either raft or nothing). It's hard to remove the raft+supports and not to break item legs.
Ensure good layer adhesion and sturdy walls/infill so the part won't fracture on your food.
Food Safety
You should assure that the process is safe to your meat:
- Use food-safe plastic like PLA. PLA is made of vegetable starch and it's food-safe unless it's dyed with a toxic paint. My PLA vendor assures my filament is biodegradable and food-safe.
- Cover meat with a plastic bag while tenderizing (see the last photo)
- Ensure good layer adhesion and sturdy structure so the part won't fracture and you have no plastic debris.
The good news are you don't have to worry about cleaning it — the part only weights a gram so it's easier to throw it away and re-print next time it's needed.
