Summary
This dual stepper motor shield for Arduino is designed for the DRV8825. The DRV8825 is commonly used as stepper drivers for 3D printers. The DRV8825 has an adjustable current control to set the max current output to the motors. Refer to the Pololu web site for driver details and instructions on setting motor current: https://www.pololu.com/product/2133
The 3D printed sheld has all the holes positioned to insert the components as shown in the pictures.

6 Sets of 3 Male .1 in pitch headers (Adafruit https://www.adafruit.com/product/392)
1 Set of Arduino Stacking Headers (Adafruit https://www.adafruit.com/product/85)
3 Jumpers 0.1 in pitch
Hookup Wire (I used wire wrap wire) Note: Use wire for motors that are rated for the motor amperage.

Post-Printing
Test fit components. Use small 1mm drill bit to open up holes if needed. Drill bits this size break easily if your not using a drill press. It's easy to make holes in the 3D printed shield by spinning the bits in your fingers.
Super glue the headers and screw terminals on the shield.
Wire the back side of the shield as shown in included pictures. I wire wrapped the connections to the motor drivers and stacking headers and soldered the remaining connections.
Shield Use
Jumpers for micro stepping the drivers
Refer to https://www.pololu.com/product/2133 for details on micro stepping. If you do not want to use micro stepping (1 Step), leave all jumpers open.
Use J3 if you wish to control micro stepping from the Arduino. Use jumpers to connect pin 12 to M0, pin 11 to M1, and pin 10 to M2 (note this is backward from some example sketches, so double check the pins assignments in your sketch). If you used J3, do not put jumpers on J1 or J2.
If you do not want to use Arduino pins to micro step, the drivers can be hard wired for micro stepping. M0, M1, and M2 are connected to J1 and J2. To hard wire micro stepping, put jumper between M0 and 5V, M1 and 5V, and/or M2 and 5V pins. M0, M1, and M2 of both drivers are hard wired together, so jumpers only need to be on J1, or J2 to sent micro stepping for both drivers. If J1 or J2 are used, do not put jumpers on J3.
