This is a Piston Stop, which is helpful if you're trying to remove a flywheel from a chainsaw. Remove the spark plug, install the piston stop, and it locks the piston in place. It is better than using a metal piston stop as it's less likely to cause damage in the engine of the chainsaw.
I tried it with a Husqvarna 350 and it worked great!
