How to Use the Portion-Perfect Spaghetti Cup
Ever wonder how a simple cup measures three different portions without moving parts? It’s all about the stepped tiers! Because dry pasta is rigid, a bundle of spaghetti acts like a solid cylinder.
- For 3 Servings: Grab a large bunch of spaghetti and place it in the cup. If the bundle is too wide to drop past the very top rim, you have exactly 3 servings! (The top chamber is 36mm wide).
- For 2 Servings: If your bundle is smaller, it will slide past the top rim and drop down to the middle step. If it rests flat on that middle step and cannot drop any further, you have exactly 2 servings! (The middle chamber is 28mmwide).
- For 1 Serving: If you have a single portion, the bundle will slide past the first two steps and sit all the way at the very bottom of the cup. If it fits in that bottom well, you have exactly 1 serving! (The bottom chamber is 18mm wide).
No guessing, no shaking, and no moving parts. Just drop your pasta in and cook!
Why This is Better Than Flat Measuring Cards
On standard flat cards with different-sized holes, you have to guess-and-test. You grab some pasta, try to shove it through a hole, realize it's too big, take some out, try again, drop some on the floor, and get frustrated.
With this stepped cup:
- You just grab a big handful of pasta.
- You drop it in.
- You look at which tier it landed on.
- If it landed on the 3rd but you only want 2 portions, you simply pull pasta out of the bundle until the remaining bundle drops down to sit on the 2nd shelf. It takes two seconds and zero frustration!
PLEASE NOTE: To I originally had this model printed with the embossed text in a different color, but that would have taken 102 filament changes, and I'm not doing that to myself or anyone else. Best choice is to take a Sharpie or arylic pen and fill in the numbers 1-3 to make them pop!
Hope everyone enjoys and happy printing!
Cheers!
