This baseplate brings the Sterilite 16qt 1644 container into the Gridfinity ecosystem, allowing a 5x8x22 volume of use.

As pictured, if using standard bins, a total of 22 units in height can fit - and near perfectly - Though 22.5 is a better fit in the bins I've tested. This can allow the container to tip without losing the contents of the bins inside if using the full height.

Two (identical) parts are needed for the full container to be used. No glue is required, but I'd recommend using masking tape and then spray adhesive or superglue and accelerant to bond the frame. Hot glue also works, but be cautious to avoid getting glue in the gridfinity openings, as the bins won't be able to sit fully.

The baseplate is suitable for 3D printing in any material you find optimal, I chose PETG as it's what I have on hand. The weight is mostly supported by the container, so it's pretty sturdy.

Please Note:

The baseplate may be a tad small with gaps on the sides or between the two pieces. This is totally fine, as the Sterilite containers are not all perfectly spec'd around the globe. The adhesive will compensate and if you need to sand a touch, this can also be an expected outcome.

While I've tested this to fit in many containers I've had ranging from a few years to a few days old, it is still possible a container may not fit the plate in. It should at most require light sanding on a catching edge. This is why the corners are slightly curved in on the model, hoping to account for the wide variability in the container quality.
