sg90s - Elevator
I. Source of inspiration
Referring to the structure of a small linear lifting module, using the SG90S micro servo motor as the power source and adopting a gear and rack drive solution, it is specially designed for DIY robots and desktop lifting experimental devices. It intuitively demonstrates the mechanical principle of gear and rack lifting and is suitable for practical training in science and technology courses.
II. 3D Printing Requirements
The frame and gear are printed using PLA filament, and the gear is preferably made of PETG to enhance its wear resistance. All parts have a uniform wall thickness of 2mm, and the guide post holes are left with an assembly tolerance of +0.1mm. There are no large-area overhanging structures, and only a small arc edge at the top of the gear requires minimal support.
III. Hardware and structure
Four metal optical axes provide up-and-down guidance. The servo motor drives the gear to engage with the rack, enabling the top plate to rise and fall smoothly. The base is equipped with a servo motor slot, which can be connected to a microcontroller for programming control of the lifting stroke. It is an entry-level DIY kit for mechanical transmission.
