Summary
This is designed to hold LED string lights to a magnetic surface. I'm using them to attach a string of lights to the underside of a steel outdoor firepit. The magnets I used are 6.4mm in diameter and 1.6mm in length, I got them from Menards sold under the Magcraft name.
This pairs great with my magnetic Dig2Go LED controller mount, found below
