This started as me replicating some metal brackets in order to create a hole locator for them. After realising this could be useful for others I did a quick re-model and saved a version with countersunk holes instead of the locating bumps. Both files are included.

A flush mount system for just about anything (35x37mm). Print two, fix with M3 screws and slot them together.

To use the hole locator, fix one bracket to the item you're hanging. Slot the hole locator in and offer the piece up to where it's going to be hung and give it a whack (be careful, I take no responsibility for you injuring yourself). The bumps will mark whatever it is you're looking to screw the bracket into in the right place.
