I wanted an alternative to printing 4 x sudoku games on A4 paper. My older eyes were also struggling with small fonts, so I designed this sudoku game to be about the same size as my Android tablet (134 x 225mm).
Above the puzzle area is a storage area for the numbers. This has the benefit of showing which numbers are already completed in the puzzle, and which ones are lagging.
I printed the parts in PLA with a manual colour change to make the puzzle border and the numbers stand out. The numbers slide into the storage slots more easily if given a slight twist (about 30 degrees CW or CCW). They have clips to hold them in the board, not super securely but enough so that the board can be tilted.
I used PrusaSlicer to add the text to the numbers and am really happy with the stencil font. You can change this in the 3mf files if you prefer a different font. The 6 has an extra dot to differentiate it from the 9. I exported the numbers with text as stl files so you can print spare numbers if you lose one in your bed or sofa!
I hope you enjoy!
