This can be used to repair a power cord if the end is damaged, but the blades are still good. Maybe you lopped off the plug by mistake. Cut out the blades and put them inside this device to fix the cord. 

It is also set to 90 degrees, so it makes it a low-profile plug. I have also included a model that positions the cord 45 degrees from vertical if it is needed.
