For my core class, we are doing a passion project, and for my project, I chose to create a low-budget 3D printer.
For those who can't tell by the models, as of now it is only a moc-up, as the motors and programming will come at a much later date. For now, though, parts such as the belts are connected using a piece of filament. (1.75 mm or you could use a wire). Most parts are also designed to fit using screw-in-place washers, which are included in the files.
If you print this, please post a make! it would be helpful for me since it will greatly help to have some feedback.
If you would like to modify this, feel free to remix it. It would also be helpful if someone could put in the comments a link to a stepper-motor STL placeholder file, as at the moment I have no stepper motors to base the size off of.
--UPDATE 2/23/2022--
added a disassembled version of the belt, as printing the belt assembled does not function properly. I have also added versions of the original two files without the belt. PRINT THE ORIGINALS AT YOUR OWN RISK! (belt is assembled with small pieces of 1.75 filaments.)
