Summary

People love canned beverages, I certainly do, but most coasters aren't exactly made for cans.

This can coaster comes with a name plate for good measure! Print 20 colors and have it for your next party, If you're really going the extra step, extrude something on to the badge! I left enough space underneath the badge to put very small things, or a thin disc magnet to make the badge magnetic! (Although, I didn't design any holes in the badge for that!) The space underneath the badge is meant to make the badge 'flippable', it's cut out so that you can have text on both sides of the badge if you so choose.

I was inspired to design this when a coworker was showing off a 3d printed can top he'd bought from the kids at a garage sale with exceptional glee. His joy was infectious, and I knew exactly what he needed to go with his new can topper: a totally personalized coaster with interchangeable badges depending on his mood!

Some details on it:
This is V1.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0, I legitimately knocked this out in a few minutes after a 12 hour shift while furiously demolishing a Raspberry White Claw.
It prints well if it sticks to the bed, but the only filaments I have right now are banana-ing on me. So, I can confirm it will banana in the front and you do not want that (it will make the coaster teeter-totter, effectively removing the stability this is designed to give a can.)

This fits Standard cans:I used 3 cans for reference measurements and did at least 5 minutes of research on the googles to make a profile that should have just enough slop to not stick to the can, but also just tight enough to keep it from moving around in the coaster excessively. It does help with 'tip tolerance', since there's some extra holding the base on the sides :)

if I edit this design at all, ever, I will tighten up the tolerance on the can base a little bit and increase the outer profile of the coaster to allow bottles to also be used. I'll also adjust the center extrude and general beveling.
