Summary
Here is the file to make a replacement elevator for an arrows bigfoot rc plane. I have extended the length slightly for more authority and rounded the edges but other than that its a copy of the original. This plane has a 1300mm wingspan so if you are thinking this might work for another aircraft you know the general size.
Print two of these as well as one pin to connect the halves with glue. Then I have a control horn and hinges made for this also posted on my profile to complete the assembly.

I have made this out of PLA+ weighing in under 30 grams with zero infill and just one perimeter for the walls. To get this to print orient it with the point of the rudder pointed straight up and supports under the pivoting surface where my hinge cutouts are. You can use a support blocker to keep the hole for the pin clear and save some headache later on. Set infill to zero, wall thickness and top/ bottom thickness to 0.4mm and the result is a thin shell for a hollow (lightweight) part.
Alternatively I would also recommend using LW PLA, not the pre foamed stuff the good stuff such as Polylight 1.0 if you want to use some infill for rigidity while keeping the weight down. You will need to follow some youtube tutorials to get the temp/ extrusion settings dialed in due to the foaming action, but the density is about half that of regular PLA.
