Hello!
Have you been getting the same microphone stand over and over? Or just wanna revive the one that buckled outa nowhere?
I have experienced the same. This one died twice in a single year.
I decided to give printing my own version a try instead of buying a new.
(To strengthen thePin there is a version with a M6x30 screw through the base. so it cannot break where the original part had.)
Hardware Requirements:
-2x M4x30 or longer Screws.
-2x M4 Nuts Recommended with nylon rings to hold in place.
Optional: M4 washers printable.
For printing:
-Orientation as shown in picture, to optimize layer contact on the pin.
-Minimum 7 wall layers
WARNING:
I wouldn't trust a plastic part more than a metal part in any circumstance, so i do recommend to adjust the position of the stand by holding onto the printed base.
I printed mine in PETG-CF. It has somewhat more tensile strength than regular PETG, but it should work on regular PETG. Please comment your results, i would be happy to change the design to have more meat around certain weak areas that may exist.
