I built a PiCorePlayer with a Pi 5 and the DAC Pro but could not find a suitable case for it, so I designed one
Assembly
Assuming you have put the DAC on the Pi and done the setup before fitting to the case.
- You need four M2.5 screws about 8-10mm long, optionally but recommended another four about 22-26mm long
- Take the bottom screws into the spacer out, leave the standard top screws in
- Fit the Pi and DAC to the case, put the phono sockets into the relevant hole first. It is tight but it does fit with a bit of a wiggle
- Put the four short screws in from the bottom
- Remove the top screws and fit the top, it is quite tight so you don't need the long screws to keep the lid on but it is stronger if you use them, so screw them in now.
- If you want to leave the standard top screws in place you will need to shorten the top stand-offs a little or the lid will sit too high.
