This is a small part to measure dimensional changes (shrink) in each axis after printing. It is designed for use with Filament (sinterable high-metal content filament) and other materials that will go through a post-printing process that will alter their dimensions. I kept the part small to minimize wasted material, as these materials tend to be significantly more expensive per unit of volume than other materials.
All measurements on this part are nominally multiples of 5mm. You can print it, write down the as-printed dimensions, then sinter the part and measure the shrink ratio. This will tell you how much shrink to account for in subsequent prints. For example:
As-printed measurement (x axis) = 20mm
Sintered measurement (x axis) = 18.8mm
18.8 / 20 = .94 = 94%
100% - 94% = 6% shrink in x
1 / .94 = 1.06382979
Therefore, scaling the model up by a factor of about 1.064 in x should compensate for the shrinkage in this example, resulting in a correct dimension after sintering. X and Y should end up with the same scaling factor, but Z may require a different scaling factor, which is why the axes are labelled. You may then want to print the test again with the scaling factor applied to check that the post-sintering dimensions are correct.
