Robust wall mount for hanging paintings on the wall, suitable also for larger and heavier paintings / objects to be put on the wall. Wall mount stays completely hidden behind the painting frame, while the painting is nicely flush with the wall.

Install first piece on the wall (front mount) and second piece on the back of the painting (front mount or bottom mount whichever is more suitable for your painting) as shown on attached photos. 

Dimensions:

• Width - I prepared two sizes - 5cm and 10cm, which provides more wiggle room to adjust the painting left or right

• Depth - 2cm

• Height - 4cm each piece, 6cm when put together (2cm overlay using 45% slope)

  • For the bottom mount variants there are also 2cm height options (i.e. only the overlay part) to save on material and print time

• 3mm holes for screws (in the end I used 4mm screws and it was ok as well)

  • Either use one hole in the middle, or two holes on the sides for better stability

They are indeed rather large, I may prepare smaller variants in the future, once the need arises. You may also use the resize option in your slicer as long as the screw holes are still usable. 

When using electric screwdriver in combination with larger screws as I did, be sure to go slowly as there is a lot of friction which creates heat and the plastic may thus melt a bit, or better yet increase infill to be on the safe side.
