I initially printed the SCX24 chassis design by Harley Designs from Thingiverse, but found it did not perform optimally for my specific build. As a result, every component of the original model has been either modified or completely redesigned to better suit my needs.
The chassis itself has been shortened to provide increased articulation and a more streamlined appearance, and a bumper-less design. With the Proline 1.0 Trencher tires installed, there is a significant increase in clearance at the front, drastically improving the approach angle.
Both the left and right skid plates have been slightly reduced in size to fit the chassis while still being able to accommodate a receiver and/or ESC. The battery mount is positioned as low as possible to support larger battery packs like the one I’m using. It is designed to be secured with a small Velcro strap.
I created custom front and rear body mounts to enhance durability and allow easy access to internal electronics. The front body plate is secured using washers (repurposed from the stock rear body mount) and attaches where the factory body posts protrude through the body shell. For the rear body plate, you have the option to either drill a mounting hole or use 3M double-sided adhesive tape for a cleaner installation. Additionally, the front body mount has been carefully shaped to ensure ample clearance for the servo during full articulation.

I have been using this chassis for about 2 years now, and have had no problems with it. No breaks, or clearance issues. Although, if the truck falls from a decent height, the body will pop off.
