Black box - Arthroscopy training

This black box was developed to simulate the arthroscopic procedure and training basic skills like knots and triangulation. 

The model consists of four parts:

• base with post for knotting 
  • the hole in the upper horizontal bar  is to easily cut the string after the the knot
  • the base has pins to train arthroscopic skills, you can use elastics for tension sensitivity
•  black box 
  • the big square, to cover the base, so you can use the camera to train
•  instrumentals - knot pusher and hook probe 
•  arthroscopic camera

Non-printed material used:

• waxed polyester cord - if you want to train the skills for a a mutlifilamentar filament (like ethibond®)

  • tip: use 0.4 to 05 mm diameter
• black monofilament nylon line – if you want to train with a monofilametar filament (like mononylon®)

  • tip: the Mononylon 3-0 surgical suture, the typical diameter range can vary from approximately 0.2 mm to 0.3 mm. We normally use 0.5 mm for training.
