Should fit a 3mm hole, the pin diameter is 2.85mm. 

I used PLA+, but PETG should do the job too. 

For stiffness and strength use 100% infill, layer height 0.12mm.

You can easily print it vertically, but for heavy shelves it's better to print it on a side with snug supports.
