Description
I tried to print the base this in its original design twice but every time I did, the base print would fail because of my support configuration. I had tried printing supports on top of the base. They would instantly delaminate from the top of the base, by design. So I added some hex holes in the base, to give it a unique design, but more to allow the support material to print through the base, and hold up the top structure as it printed. I will note that the support materials still had problems printing toward the back of the base, and I think I came to the conclusion that I didn't need to actually print the supports, as long as I went slow enough (80mm/s), the arch piece would likely print without them.
