This is a model used to replace the spool holder of the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 printer. I'm not sure if it's suitable for the Centauri Carbon equipped with the Canvas system, but it can indeed be used with the Centauri Carbon 2.
The kit includes two bases and two spool holders. Either base can be used with any spool. One spool is suitable for spools with a width of no more than 74 mm, and the other is suitable for spools with a width of no more than 80 mm. At present, I have not encountered a 1-kilogram spool with a width exceeding 74 mm, but I have included a wider spool holder because its dimensions are similar to those used by the original Centauri Carbon single spool holder. Please note that this is not a direct replacement for the Centauri
Simply unscrew the two screws securing the spool holder base of the Centauri Carbon 2 Combo version, and reuse these screws for the base of this kit. I chose PETG material with a wall thickness set to 5 layers and a fill density of 25% grid structure. Obviously, this configuration is a bit overkill, but I'm used to making parts more robust. A narrower base will also work fine, but I personally prefer thicker, more solid components. The fit between the base and the shaft may be a bit too tight, but a few light taps with
The two grooves on the shaft body are used to install PTFE tubes
Why do you need to replace the original spool holder? When you face the spools on the ground, tangled filament, and failed prints for the third or fourth time, the answer will become clear naturally. :)
There are no restrictions on this model, unless you have made useful secondary creations of it. Please be sure to release it under the same license agreement. The only people who will really need this model are those who own 3D printers, so it doesn't have much commercial value in itself.
