🦖 Velociraptor – 3D Reproduction
The Velociraptor was a small carnivorous dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous period (around 75 million years ago), belonging to the Dromaeosauridae family. Agile, intelligent, and likely feathered, it measured about two meters in length and weighed around twenty kilograms, equipped with its iconic curved claw on each hind foot.
This 11 cm-tall model (up to the tail) was scanned using the Revopoint MetroY, from two quick scans, each taking no more than 2 minutes, then merged together for the full reconstruction.
A light touch-up in Meshmixer was needed to fix a few small areas that weren’t fully cleaned in RevoScan Metro.
The details already come out impressively well, even with such quick captures — proving that the MetroY is both fast and precise, and an absolute pleasure to use for small-scale reproductions like this one.
