Summary
I find bed levelling to be so much easier and more accurate with a dial gauge and they are quite cheap now on Ebay. But I had no luck finding a clip on mount to add a digital dial gauge to the hot end of an Ender 5 so I designed this one from scratch.
The mount is a push fit (has interference tabs) onto the fan shroud/hot end casing on the Ender 5 and 5 Pro, and accepts the 8.0 mm dia. shank around the gauge probe. The gauge is retained securely by a 4 mm set screw and nut.
The dial gauge I purchased fits perfectly, is known as a "Precision Digital Dial Test Indicator Gauge DTI 0.01mm/0.0005'' Range 0~12.7mm" and at the time of writing this is available here https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/363761554427 for AUD27.
