Modular Hanging Planter – 3D printed in PETG

Project Description

This modular planter is designed for easy hanging on structures with tubular elements (standard diameter 3 cm), such as railings, pergolas, or fences. The design consists of two separately printable pieces that join together using a dovetail system, ensuring a solid hold and maximum mechanical resistance at the hook point.

Technical characteristics:

• Dovetail joint for secure assembly.
• Integrated rear hook, printed in the opposite orientation to optimize mechanical resistance.
• Designed for tubular elements 30 mm in diameter, but easily resizable to fit smaller dimensions.
• Drainage holes at the bottom to prevent waterlogging and protect plant roots.
• Ideal for printing in PETG or other weather-resistant materials.

Printing suggestions:

• Optimized print bed to print 2 complete planters (pieces + hooks).
• Recommended layer height: 0.28mm
• Recommended infill: 15%
• 3 walls
