I was having issues with the standard encoder housing losing its tension over time, leading to false encoder readings. I thought back to when "springy" was released for the ercf and how much it helped with reliable tension and applied it to the encoder adding a spring. It has an independent swing arm with adjustable tension for the spring using a m3 nut. It also has a gate switch with a small grub screw to tune it perfectly and i replaced most of the heat inserts for simple 3mm nuts. This is based on the EREC beta 7 cad files. I have included the step and fusion360 f3z files so u can edit it. I will try and make normal ERCF version for those of you without a servo cutter, or if one of u guys want to remix it for me that would be great XD
The changes to the erec encoder bom are:
1x 5mm width x 10mm length x 0.45-0.55mm diameter spring
4x m3 nuts ( i recommend using a nyloc nut for the main spring )
1x standard cheap endstop switch
2x 2mm width x 10mm length self tapping screws ( 1 needs to be slightly trimmed to around 9mm )
1x m3 x 20mm buttonhead and washer
1x m3 x 6mm grub screw
