I tried using the original design on my Walther P99, but it ended up flinging my NiteCore TIP down the range. This remix handles the recoil from my P99 quite well.
I am now using this mount with my Nitecore instead of a StreamLight which was more than double the weight and used expensive non-rechargeable Lithium A123 batteries.
