Prusa MK3S+ Timer Stand for a ThermoPro TM02 Digital Kitchen Timer.
Wanted a timer that I could use for:
1. Time lapse videos
2. Monitor time remaining remotely via the internet
(w/Wyze Prusa mounted camera & a Mintion Beagle moveable camera)
3. Monitor time to change filament for multi color prints
Found the perfect dual timer on Amazon, only problem it sits too low on the table. I designed this stand in Tinkercad to hold the timer up at the same height as the print bed of the Prusa MK3S+. The timer has 2 magnets on the back, that will allow easy attachment to this stand. The stand was designed to hold 2 neodymium magnets.
The recessed areas on the stand will hold the neodymium magnets flush to the stand & are slightly larger than the magnets. the magnets are held in place with a drop-off super glue.To perfectly align the magnets in the stand to the timer - Place a drop-off glue in each recess & drop in the round neodymium magnets.
IMPORTANT - CHECK POLARITY SO THE MAGNETS WILL ATTRACT THE TIMER MAGNETS PRIOR TO DROPING MAGNETS ON THE SUPER GLUE - if you get this wrong the magnets will push the timer away from the stand). Now place the timer on the stand on the opposite side from magnets. The small play in the recessed area will allow the magnets to align perfectly with the timer magnets. Remember, do this quickly before the superglue sets up.
Four small silicone bumpers were added to the bottom to keep the timer from moving around on the table. The horseshoe shaped back of the stand allows for easy access to the selector switch on the back in addition to not blocking the audio timer signal.
Having the timer on a moveable thin mount allows easier positioning, depending on where you put your monitor cameras.
