I went a little overboard when mounting my BoxThrone (https://storemyboardgames.com) to the wall. In addition to the metal wall mounts, I created supplemental wall mounts.

I also created spacers that account for the width of my baseboards when using the supplied wall mounts (these are just plastic tubes, nothing special but I added them here in case that's helpful to someone).
