The original intention of my designing this hinge is to be used with folding tables: embedding the hinge into the top surface of the table so that the tabletop can still be flush and seamlessly connected with the tabletop when it is folded upwards. Most hinges on the market use round cross-sectional pins. If you want to install such hinges, you must open additional grooves in the wood. However, since the two panels of the tabletop need to rotate around the same eccentric shaft, this design is prone to interference problems.
