The lid for the freshpod broke the day it was installed inside our trashcan lid. The locking mechanism for the lid was questionable as it relyed on .00005 mm of material to hold the scen pod in place. 


I used onshape to model an enclosure with similar dimensions with a sliding lid to be able to withstand the trash can lid slamming shut.  The grid extrude feature was used for for the hex pattern and I modeled the same method of installation using a large command strip.
