Set the customizer to make an object with your desired width.
I used some dodgy old PLA that had been sitting in the basement for a few years. Can't say if it collected humidity will in storage, but I let it sit on the radiator for a few hours instead of baking it and risking a goopy mess in the oven.I'm only using it for towels, but thought I'd go overboard since it was old PLA that I thought might not be useful. 4 perimeters, 25% infill...
Maybe you might want to orient the more visible side of the hook towards the bed when printing. Maybe not, depending on your preferences, settings etc. You know your printer and material best. Experiment.
Post-Printing
- Clean back of the 3D printed part.
- Apply double sided tape to back of part
- Ensure the surface where you want to place the hook is clean - check the instructions on your tape.
- Apply to desired surface.
- Hang a towel.
How I Designed This
Got bored of printing someone else's model and had the urge to start fiddling with OpenSCAD again, so thought I would sit down an make something I could use immediately after printing.
After the first test, a bit of revision and thought, hey, it would be nice to fix this a bit so the hook is as wide as the double sided tape I'll use to attach it to the wall.
