This replaces the central post of a Barricade/Stockade's trigger mechanism - the post on which the pusher slides and the lever rotates. This rod experiences a fair bit of force in normal use, especially when the trigger is pulled while the jam door lock is engaged, and sometimes breaks.

Printing in a horizontal orientation (as it is currently laid out) should provide the most strength. The surface of the cap that contacts the Barricade's lever prints in contact with the bed - this is deliberate, as that makes this surface near-perfectly smooth. Internal support will probably be needed for the cap during printing.

To install:

• Cut off the middle terminal on the front of the battery tray in order to make room for the cap.
• Sanding may be necessary to allow the post to fit into the cap, depending on printer tolerances.
• Remove the central post and dremmel it out to a sufficient depth that the replacement post can be inserted.
• Place the central post replacement piece. The wings should grip the pusher track and hold it in place. Glue should not be required.
• Place the cap on top of the post. Optionally, place a dab of glue on top of the cap.
• Close the blaster. If you are using glue, push the clamshells together hard at the position of the post, turn the blaster off to activate the trigger lock, and pull the trigger. This is to push the cap towards the battery tray in case the post is slightly misaligned.
