I designed this minimalist, 3D-printable rectangular flowerpot for my windowsill. It’s small, thin-walled and made to line up flush with its neighbors—outer edges stay perfectly sharp (no fillets), so pots can sit side-by-side with little seam. A tiny fillet on the inside corners makes cleaning and packing soil easier.

Dimensions

• 50 x 120 mm wide, ~70 mm high (internal)
• 54 x 124 mm wide, 80 mm high (external)
• Walls are 2 mm thick.

Drainage

This pot has high, 1.5mm wide drainage slits on its lower sides, and a built-in tray to catch drained water. The drainage slit might be larger than usual pots, so take care from drying out the soil too much.

Print settings

• Orientation: Upright, supports required on the bottom of the pot. Easy to remove
• Layer height: 0.2mm. Anything between 0.1 mm and 0.3 mm will be fine. I used variable height for a better angled bottom, but you may use 0.2 mm throughout the print without problem
• Walls: 2 walls (the default for most) should be sufficient
• Infill: 15% gyroid (any pattern should do)
• Materials: PLA (indoors). Others not tested but should work. You probably don't need this outdoors.
