Navigation light for on a boat. Fits a 15mm rod as mast (in my case a stick)

Needed:

• 50cm 5mm LED COB light strip, for example
  •  https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/1005007532172895.html
  • https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C33SHHNP
• A longer USB cable (I cut the end of an old charger cable)
•  53 mm diameter  ‘slim’ drink can. 
  • Cut it into a 50mm high ring with a box cutter. Make sure the ends are flat and not bent. Watch out for sharp bits!

To Make:

• Thread the USB cable through the side hole on the bottom. Make a knot in it so it cant be pulled out.
• Solder the usb cable to the led strip. Test if the polarity is ok.
• Cut the LED strip to length, along the dotted line on the back. I used enough to loop around the can three times for a bright but not too bright light.
• insert the metal ring in the bottom part.
• Stick the LEDstrip on the metal ring.
• insert the Diffuser into the top part. Press it firmly in place. This is as tight pressfit!
• Mate the top and the bottom parts. Rotate untill the metal ring is completely in its slot. Press firmly done.
