This is a super simple bushing that works amazing. I put in a patio, so I needed to get a tractor with a loader in the back yard. I took out two sections of fence and turned them into gates, but it still wasn't wide enough. I took a hack saw and cut the pipe at ground level for the fence post. Bought a slightly smaller fence post to go inside it (I believe it's 1.75" and 2" fence post), and made a bushing to keep them stable.
In the picture you can see a second one up high… that's because I screwed up and cut the outside post too low so I just made another bushing. I probably could have gotten silver paint and painted it, but it hasn't bothered me.
You'd be surprised at how well this is working. It's been perfect, I've used it a ton of times to get my trailer in the back yard, tractors, tables. Just open the two gates, lift the two posts up and out and you're done.
You want to make sure the inside post slides in through the bushing tight enough to be firm but it still has to slide. My outside post is down about 3 or 4', and the inside post goes all the way to the bottom about 3 or 4' as well.
Made from PETG for UV resistance.
