This is a quick release system for https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4321187 and Anet type M8 spindle spool holders.
The center of the spool holder takes an 8mm threaded rod and requires a locknut at either end that's not tightened to allow the rod to turn.
The center takes about 9hrs to print.. The Screw part may take 2hrs -4hrs
I have added parts that will accommodate a wider spool centre labelled Long Side Cog and Long Side Inner..

The spindle may require minimal support. Grid with 75° overhang and 5mm spacing in Cura if you have a parts fan, the thread should print without support and will greatly decrease print time. The collar requires support under the base.
