Shepherd's Staff by Poly by Google [CC-BY] via Poly Pizza
Needed Christmas prop.
I took the original (above), put it in meshmixer, chopped it up into four pieces, and added little holes and dowels for gluing together. I can print this at 300% scale in two bedsheets on my X1C. At 300% scale it's about 40" tall which would be for young 'uns doing Christmas plays.
You could probably get to about 400% if you print one stick at a time at 45 degree angle on the bed.
I printed it flat on the plate which makes it stronger than printing the parts vertically.
Print several smaller scales of the connector plugs (90, 80, 70) if you force the plugs in too tightly it can break your staff, so use a small enough plug so you can push it in easily by hand.
Print with supports. Printed at default 15% 2 walls but would recommend upping walls for better strength or upping infill % if you want it to feel heavier. I used PLA and oddly my peg holes weren't round on a few of my staff parts. As if the PLA part was sagging, hard to explain.
Good enough for an Xmas prop!
