I bought some Neewer 660 lights, but the barn doors they ship with do a horrible job at restricting light where you want it. I designed a slide in grid that replaces the included (and practically useless) diffuser. Using this grid will restrict light to a very narrow area, which is convenient if you have a background you'd like to keep dark or, like me, colored accent lighting in the background you'd like to have "pop".

This design is made to be highly configurable based on your needs, by using slicer settings to determine grid characteristics. You'll need to use a slicer that supports per model settings (I used Cura), and you need to position the two parts on the bed so that they are nested precisely. Do the following:

1. Place the mount and grid STL in your slicer so that the grid is precisely aligned with the mount body,
2. Set the mount print settings to something strong, as it'll be holding the grid in the light,
3. Set the grid print settings so that top/bottom layers are 0, with grid infill settings. Adjust the infill percentage based on the amount of focus you want. The higher the percentage, the tighter the light will be focused. You can print multiple grids to give you different light "tightness" options if you like.
