I used to hang calendars on a nail, but the holes in the calendar pages would eventually rip out after a few months . 

This design is a properly sized hook that will support the weight of a typical calendar without ripping it. It attaches to wall with half inch double sided tape. 

Useful but not terribly exciting :)
