I wanted a 3DBenchy display that would keep them off the desk and out of the way, hold them securely so that my printer doesn't shake them loose, and not use too much filament in the process.

Introducing, the Magic Benchy Display, minimalist edition.

The “Magic” is in how such a tiny friction-fit fixture can hold such a big Benchy boat so securely. Just press the boat in firmly, so that the little flagpost pole at the back sticks through, and it should stay put through just about anything.

The mount also looks kind of like a shark mouth, which seems appropriate.

I went with the simplest arrangement here, but I may go back and make something more interesting with it, since you can point the boats in just about any direction you want.

The stand itself is very basic - it's designed to be extremely easy to print cheaply while still being rigid enough to stand up.

I have mine pushed against the wall with the legs sitting underneath some storage boxes, so that the boats are easy to see but not blocking anything useful.

• PLA (MatterHackers Build Black, or Jessie Premium Pure Cyan)
• .3mm layer height 
• 1 perimeter
• 2 top/bottom layers
• 20% Lightning infill
• No supports
