A wider base for the laser cut wooden Printrbot spool holder to accommodate wider filament spools. This particular width (89 mm) is to accommodate filament reels from reprapworld.com.

The dimensions of this piece are made to exactly replace the base piece of the Printrbot spool holder, but is wider in order to allow for larger filament reels.

Print the first layer at a low speed (I used 15% of 70mm/s = 10.5mm/s) as there are a few tight 90degree corners that have a tendency to get ripped up and make a mess.

V1: Initial prototype

V2: Added clips to match the laser-cut wooden legs of the spool holder and shorted the depth of the screw holder to engage more threads in the nut.

Plans for V3: Same design as V2, but done in OpenSCAD with a parametric reel width.
