This modern lampshade design fits the Ikea hemma lamp suspension and looks stunning.

If you print the lamp shade with clear filament it will not cast any shadows when the light is turned on.

The .3mf or .stl files are the important ones to anyone who wants to print it.

I changed this design at Juli 2022 because it was not strong enough before that.

Notes:

The printer should be well tuned so that almost no stringing occurs and overhang performance is good. The use of PETG / ABS is recommended, PLA might also work.

Post-Printing =============

A heatgun is useful to get rid of stringing. A scalpel can be used to cut out any overhangs that sagged down.

How I Designed This

How the basic shapes have been made can be seen in the .f3d file by scrolling through the history.

Use the grashopper for rhino file (.gh) to replicate the hexagon cutouts. If you want a specific cutout density and do not own the rhino design programm you can ask in the comments for it. The grashopper file is only available on thingyverse, printables does not support them.

When subtracting the hexagon cutouts with the lamp shape form I had to transform them into a mesh for it to work in fusion360.
