Cargo ship

A modular, easy to print, cargo ship with hatches that can hold cargo in internal storage room. The ship floats well and is watertight if the hull is printed properly. Its designed to be sturdy with kids in mind and has been battletested by my son. Can hold about 250 g of cargo while floating in calm seas

Its split into different parts so that you can print them in different colors. The parts must be glued together. Hatches are snap fit

Print and assembly

For the hull to be watertight, you must have a good first layer. It should also be slightly over extruded. I set the extrusion multiplier to 1.05, layer height to 0.3 mm and it produced a nice looking watertight hull.

The rest of the part can be printed with normal 0.2 mm settings

The deck needs supports around the rim, but they are easy to remove

The rest prints without supports. Print the birdge upside down

Glue the parts together with CA or plastic glue. The hatches snap into place
