Here's a magnetic base for your dial indicator. It easily attaches to the hot end shroud on my Ender-3 so I can get the bed super level. Watch the video. I also printed plugs that hold in the magnets. The magnets I used are .437 (11mm) in diameter and .25 (6.35mm)long.

No supports are necessary. Print a bit slower for better results. I printed at .15 layer height and 100mm/min. 60c bed and 200c hot end.

Also, print the body with the magnet holes up!!!!
