Summary
A LED mount that attaches to the MK8 extruder. The LEDs I found in an auto parts store. They are an LED ring for a driving light. It's called QuadFire Haloz by Alpena. I like the square shape and it fits the shape of the MK8 extruder.
This is made for the Milled/Printed 3D Printer (MP3DP) PrusaI3 style. You can find the MP3DP here:

When mounted to the MK8 extruder, the ring gets in the way of the cooling fan shroud. I added a small extender for the fan shroud so it can be positioned to blow inside the LED ring.
The 123D file is include if you wish to make modifications.

The LED Mounting ring is placed around the hot end and attaches to the bottom of the extruder cooling fan and under the extruder stepper motor. It is attached with zip ties through the holes in the mount. One zip tie(s) around the extruder cooling fan, the other around the extruder stepper motor. Once the mounting ring is attached, the LED lights are attached to the mounting ring with the double sided sticky tape that comes with the LEDs.
Add the extender is added to the fan shroud mounting tab. I have included a picture that shows the extender location.
I wired the LEDs with the extruder cooling fan that turns on when the power is on.
