A red dot sight with a flippable lens cap. I might make another lens cap at the front by simply enlarging the current lens cap if requested. This dummy sight should be compatible with any Aimpoint Comp M4 pattern mounts.
Hardware needed:
- 1 M3x30mm screw for the picatinny rail mount. The screw is meant to tightly lodge into the small clamp piece, and it is also meant to pass through a circular piece that makes the mount look more like the real default Romeo7 mount. If you don't use that circular piece, use 1 M3x25mm screw
- 2 M5x10mm screws, or 2 M5x15mm screws, or superglue to attach the sight to the mount
- Additional superglue if any of the parts feels lose, such as the buttons
- Circular objects with a diameter of 2mm or lower (e.g. filament with tape wrapped around it) in case your printer struggles to print the pins used to attach the lens caps
The sight should be printed in PLA, the lens cap should be printed in PETG with high infill to make it stand out and ensure that the parts don't easily break
