Gyroid unit in a cube

This is a gyroid unit housed in a cube (46mm^3) for easy printing. The cube supports the gyroid to some extent and also provides a framework to make sense of the gyroid structure. Minimal support is still needed to print the bottom part of the gyroid. I designed this as a little gift for participants at a big gyroid assembly event sponsored by the Schoen Family at Morris Library on SIU campus. It looks nice on a teacher's desk!
