Mini dump truck

I. Design inspiration

Simulate the design of a dump truck, with three separate parts including the cab, cargo box, and wheels. It serves dual purposes as a fun toy for children and a compact desktop decoration. The simple structure is easy to assemble, making it ideal for 3D printing beginners to practice and for creative handicraft projects. The cargo box can be detached and used as a small storage compartment.

II. 3D printing process

All parts are printed using PLA filament. The corrugated engine cover and the window groove are integrally molded, without small and easily breakable thin walls. The wheel axle is designed with a 0.2mm clearance, ensuring smooth rolling without sticking. The overall design has no large areas of overhang, with only a small amount of support at the bottom of the wheels. After printing, no complex grinding is required, and assembly is simple.

III. Structure and Function

The detachable cargo box can be used to store small parts, paper clips, and other miscellaneous items. It features four independent wheels, making it a great toy for children to push and play with. The front of the vehicle features the texture details of an engineering vehicle, with a compact and exquisite design. It can be used as a desktop decoration ornament, as well as a teaching model for mechanical disassembly and assembly.
