Summary
Hi and thanks for checking out my model. I remixed this from Cyberzorg's excellent and complex "Cage pour buzzer autonome VIFLY V1" (English: Cage for autonomous buzzer VIFLY V1). I fly fixed wing so I opted for a less hardy version of the cage.
I modified Cyberzorg's model to make it more generic and lighter as well as to liberate the LEDs so that their flash is visible from most sides of the holder. I added a couple of mounting holes in case they are needed for your application. I also increased the size of the opening for the USB socket to accommodate a wide variety of USB plugs. Cyberzorg's design allows you to essentially press-fit the beacon in its OEM shrink-wrap into the cage. Sometimes I use a tiny piece of 3M VHB against the back wall but for my fixed wing flying, the press fit is fine. If I were to use it on a multirotor, I would use the VHB to make sure that the beacon was secure enough to not eject in an aerobatic tumble to earth.
It's easy to roll this holder into your custom design. Also, if you want to make it more sturdy, it's an easy mod in Tinkercad (or whatever design sw you use) to add some thickness to the USB-side wall.
I printed it on its side with the solid side on the plate. I used Support on Build Plate Only on my Prusa i3 MK3S+ and it worked out quite well. I hope that this works for you. Happy flying!
